Annual Armchair Travel Day – Philippines

For our annual Armchair Travel Day this year, the residents travelled to the Philippines. Residents had tickets and passports stamped on entry to the main dining room.

Vivian and the leisure & lifestyle team poured so much heart into bringing this day to life, and it paid off.

A beautiful array of Philippino cuisine was served with a special thanks to our catering team.

We thank all the staff of Kellock Lodge for making this experience possible, dressing up, and bringing joy to our resident’s lives!

Travelling Musician Paul

In November, we had Paul The Travelling Musician, visit Kellock Lodge. He entertained our residents with a fun mixture of classic Aussie songs. Paul sang while playing the ukulele and piano. Residents enjoyed the entertainment.

Our residents were quoted as saying, “That was so interesting and different; I enjoyed it.” Said Nona Carpenter. “that was life-changing, thank you so much!” Said Bernie Ronalds.

Annual Armchair Travel Day – Netherlands

We have had the most wonderful day at Kellock Lodge today.

Viv and the leisure team bring joy and fulfillment to our residents’ lives. It’s truly a pleasure to watch. Residents travelled to the Netherlands today, an annual event held in the main dining room. Residents had tickets and passports stamped, ate and drank traditional Dutch cuisine.

Viv said” This is our annual Armchair Travel Day; I have been involved in these days since 2001. This will be our 14th annual Armchair Travel Day at Kellock Lodge. Every smile brings us joy.”
